It's not everything but it most definitely helps, after having an old white lady as my therapist for years and barely making progress I found a young black woman of Caribbean heritage and I'm making strides incredibly quickly, having common ground is important
that’s nice. you’re tripping if you think i’m saying it’s totally irrelevant as opposed to saying that you have a bunch of singular identities that matter; blackness is only one form of understanding and it’s not guaranteed. black people don’t automatically get all black people.
