      if you were an adult, the past is no excuse. you knew better. you chose worse. if you were ignorant as a child say that but that's all you have to say. stop letting homophobia and everything else for that matter be a coming of age thing. how do you not see the problem with that?

      bringing up how the majority is complicit in oppression with absolutely no critical angle that refuses to center how victims are affected is just a way to hold nobody accountable and ignore the possibilities of preventing harm for marginalized people

      *whispers* also there is a difference between having negative ideas about marginalized groups present in your mind and bullying, harassing, threatening, and spreading bigotry about marginalized people. i will not treat the latter lightly because it has material consequences.
