it's weird when people specify black men as victims of something because there's nothing that happens to black men that doesn't happen to black people of the other genders. their disadvantage is blackness... which all black people have. no racist issue seems unique to black men.

being seen as angry and aggressive? all dark skin people face this. insert every other dark skin stereotype here while we're at it. higher rates of imprisonment and police violence in comparison to their white counterparts? this too is true across all genders of black people.

if something discusses black men it makes sense to talk about them, yes, but for too long black men are talked about like they bare the brunt of anti black racism *solely* or *especially*. black women's and lgbt issues would never be seen like that by the inside or the outside.

unless you discuss black men's position in the "black community" or something specific to both manhood AND blackness just say black people.
