sexuality is very much a "choice" because living true to yourself is optional. that choice means more than any "innate" feeling ever could.

ahh okay i think i get u. thats valid i think i jst relate differently bc i’ve honestly never like, come out to anyone, ppl just take a look at me and assume/know, so being Out has always felt like less of a choice for me personally ykwim.
i get that because honestly everyone assumes i'm a dyke (except the few who just refuse see that in me) but i still feel this power in boldly choosing to say it after my own mixed feelings towards the word and avoiding the label for so long

fair! i definitely avoided the lesbian label for a long time, and even female/woman in general due to my own like internalized misogyny/homophobia/intersexism, so it does feel powerful to now like more confidently proclaim parts of myself i used to be ashamed of
