sexuality is very much a "choice" because living true to yourself is optional. that choice means more than any "innate" feeling ever could.

choice in this way counters the pressures of "out or not" within a binary of born gay or choosing to be. but to be clear no, it's not a choice in the way homophobic argue and i don't mean choice as in "having gay sex is what makes you gay".

ahh okay i think i get u. thats valid i think i jst relate differently bc i’ve honestly never like, come out to anyone, ppl just take a look at me and assume/know, so being Out has always felt like less of a choice for me personally ykwim.

i get that because honestly everyone assumes i'm a dyke (except the few who just refuse see that in me) but i still feel this power in boldly choosing to say it after my own mixed feelings towards the word and avoiding the label for so long
