the way a lot of people define nonbinary lesbians still excludes many nonbinary lesbians and continues to sound like roundabout ways of maintaining the base idea of a woman who only likes women. it's embarrassing.
there's no reason to generally define nonbinary lesbians as woman or female "aligned" and it's both inaccurate and harmful to say that transmasc people can't be lesbians when many lesbians are transmasculine. do not continue misgendering and misrepresenting so many lesbians.
it took me a while to be able to say this with my chest but a lot of nonbinary lesbians don't have a connection to womanhood or femininity. at all. and we don't need to. a connection to womanhood and femininity aren't the requirements for lesbianism.

hi also nonbinary lesbian and i was wondering the same! For me, my only connection to womanhood is in loving women, otherwise i don’t feel connected to it or want to be included under “wlw”
Why are so many people trying so hard to introduce rigid rules and definitions in the first place? The solution to the limitations of cis-straight normativity is not to invent a new more granular normativity; the solution is to be non-normative.
Gender and sexuality are messy, and the language we use to talk about it will either inherit this messiness or will have no connection with reality.
this! i used to force myself into a little box saying I was 'fem alligned' just so people would view me as valid. but im not fem alligned, never have been, but im still a fucking lesbian.

there is no definition. you're a lesbian or you're not a lesbian but we all agree men and people attracted to men can't be.
