I noticed this a while back when they always had a Black cop centered as the Rookie/Relatable person with an older white gritty cop as a mentor (Low key Men in Black does this)

I watch and read a lot of police procedurals, noticed this right away and -thought it was good-. Guilty as charged! And yet, meeting real cops with marginalized identities? I outright feel bad that they picked a job that historically hates them so much.
