it's really weird that parents ask you to do things and you "have" to. they call you "have" to respond. you can't say no.

if you're honest and that frustration comes to the surface parents simply remind you that they have power over you financially and otherwise

we teach everyone from birth that as long as you have power over someone you can violate them and their boundaries AND claim you LOVE them
