OMG she was reading instructions...

Plain as day. Media is scared to death to talk about it. Right
@ChrisLhayes,@Maddow,@Lawrence@AriMelber. -
This is the first time that I have disagreed with you about anything in two years, but I really think she had something on her finger and was trying to be nonchalant about getting rid of it. A bugger?
-
Okaaaay! lol... you're in an extreme, extreme minority with that one. Personally, I'm not sure it was the white supremacist sign, but am convinced it was a sign of something, to someone prompted by a text message.
-
Could be the Q in Qanon. But that's a fundamentally racist group, too. As I've said, Stephen Miller makes that same distinct hand gesture while doing ordinary actions like straightening his tie. I don't think it really matters all that much. It's no secret they're racists.
-
I agree. I just don’t think she is that sly or that she would publicly expose herself and her husband to political ruin to signal what to whom? Kavanaugh is a Bushy, not white supremacist (why doesn’t Twitter spell check recognize that word?) so I don’t know what she is signaling
-
They do it casually, often while posing for pics, so as to make it look like an accident of positioning. Then they can say, "Who, me? You're crazy." But it's clearly intentional. It goes right along w/ Trump's favorite technique, gaslighting. It makes them feel sneaky powerful.

Never in my nearly 50 years have I ever held my hand in that position... it’s wholly unnatural and clearly a signal
-
So I copied the gesture. Indeed it is very unnatural .... and, it strains the tendons in the right hand. So, it is not a natural, relaxing position; it has to be held to maintain it.
-
With your hand relaxed, try reaching for your elbow. Never does your index finger and thumb touch. It takes conscious effort to connect. This was deliberate. No question.
-
B.I.N.G.O.! People will say it is 'petty' and to let it go, but it isn't petty. This is what fuels the white supremacist movement. Minimally, she should be banned from the hearings.
-
But can she be banned for doing that when being a white supremos is not illegal. Or is it.
-
I understand. Are there rules of conduct when a candidate is being interviewed? During Sessions confirmation a woman laughed & she was arrested for creating a disturbance. They're always pushing the edge; they depend on others to follow the rules so they can break them.

Good point

Someone texted her letting her know she was being prominently shown on TV so she proceeded to acknowledge them by sending them the white supremacist sign.
-
ABSOLUTELY!
-
Wow. It was a controversy. It is now a certainty. You can see her position her hand & fingers. No question.
-
And the smug look on her face...she knows exactly what she’s doing.
-
My impression, too. She got off the phone and went directly into the hand signal and a devious little look on her face.
-
Notice her expression today. Embarrassed MUCH? Asking herself why she did it. Probably got the riot act from her bosses.
-
This time it’s extremely obvious! There’s no talking around it or any way of making any excuses for it either!
