For those outside the Ember ecosystem, we extracted the core functionality to a separate library. Svelte and Vue examples to come!!

ember-changeset is officially 3.0.0, supporting 3.13 and above! I can't give enough praise to those from the community who helped with this major rewrite 🥰

After using the Octane feature set for ~6 months, I’m shocked at how hard it is to go back to an app without the new reactivity model. ES6 classes + the tracked decorator require so little thought compared to before; it’s fun, even.

I don't think I was specific enough but many items found in the cheat sheet is what I'm referring to.

Which also brings up another point. The community was lambasted for not delivering on a variety of things. But in turn what we have got is so much more important but subtle.

It has been convincing how powerful EmberJS Octane is. Often when faced with a thorny bug, refactoring builds an obvious API, leading to finer readability and superior discoverability for my teammates and I.

Remote Work is one of the big opportunities for rural areas. Every small town will discuss their remote work strategy in the next 1-5 years And most don’t know what to do other than offer relocation bonus. Tulsa & Vermont lead the way

Hey people managers! Here's a free, practical tip for making your organization more inclusive. It's one of the easiest and most cost effective ways to increase representation of senior level underestimated folk, and improve retention. It has to do with "Stretch Opportunities."

RT if you’ve been making web things so long you remember the days when you had to download Firebug so you could have a web console. Wow. What a game changer that was.

The retrogressive ideology of ruralness was a necessary condition to industrialization. It has the chance of being brought back into collective consciousness with remote work. Rural nostalgia has always been a part of my fabric even if internet bandwidth is still a concern.

Sad but true. Non critical software benefits from change. Often new blood, including replacing me, will help break and rebuild existing software that otherwise would stay stagnant.

I shouldn't be surprised, but it's sort of amazing to me how many Americans (on Twitter) seem to think America is a uniquely evil force in world affairs. Is it a white privilege thing? I don't know. But at some point it devolves from well deserved self-critique into pathology
