I'm a lifelong (60+ years) Southern Baptist...and I stand by and support
@BethMooreLPM 's decision, even as I intend to remain with the church I love.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

What a beautiful destiny God has designed for this woman who is so in love with Jesus. So many are making a mockery of the Bible and life testimonies erased because of Trumpism and Christian Nationalism, Families separated, friendships severed. Wake up, ppl.

That is a very honorable move. Christ is the Head of the Church, not religion nor culture. It is a choice to follow Christ's way of Love, Forgiveness, sowing the seed of salvation changing hearts one at a time, inside out, not outside in by law or punishment. Amen to her!

Finally, but WOW did it take a lot for her to do that. No gold medal from me, just a sense that she finally woke up from her fever dream of self-delusion or refused to compromise her values completely anymore.

Great column. As always, respectfully and thoroughly written. Evangelicalism swallowed the radioactive Trump pill. It’s now dissolving them from the inside.
