If your AM is on this list they cannot be called a climate leader With over 80% of NY Democrats Support, and majority of NY Dem, Republican, and Independent Voters all wanting @CarlHeastie to bring it to a vote It's time to ask your AM why they are not on #BuildPublicRenewables

hey I’m still asking you to fulfill your campaign promises! I have better things to be doing with my time! #BuildPublicRenewables
text message exchange with Grace Lee canvasser

Kaeleigh: If so, please have her publicly announce her intent to cosponsor both sets of bills on her first day in office

Canvasser: Her support for Good Cause was on her website in 2020 and from her launch in January! You are correct that her support for public renewables came later as she learned more about bill, but she supports both now and will work to pass them next year

Kaeleigh: Will she be cosponsoring them all from day 1?

Canvasser: I don't know that answer to that right now, but I will certainly talk to the team and share this conversation

With arrears crossing 2 billion across the state, this is a Bandaid on an open wound That corporate utilities continue to profit off the program says it all too Why shouldn’t these billionaire corporations chip into this instead of New York taxpayers? We need

We're taking real action on energy affordability. This historic utility relief is a major milestone in our efforts to lower energy costs and help New Yorkers stay warm during the cold winter months. reuters.com/world/us/new-y

We cannot allow our energy system to not transition to renewables because corporations are worried about inflation and lower profits Profits shouldnt have anything to do with guaranteeing our future We must pass the #BuildPublicRenewables Act

Love it when fossil fuel industry shills give the #PublicPower campaign a shout-out 😘 Let's make IPPNY cry this year (and win a livable planet) by passing the #BuildPublicRenewables Act!

Now proud fossil fuel advocate Donahue notes that "There’s a lot of talk in this room about public power," and says he prefers market solutions. The market has had its chance to solve the climate crisis, and it failed. That's why people are demanding #PublicPower and #BPRA!

In the we’re working on organizing a just transition that moves us away from fossil fuels towards a green economy without devastating the livelihoods of our members. In NY, a transition includes passing the BPRA #BuildPublicRenewablesAct

"Starting in the 1970s, scientists working for the oil giant made remarkably accurate projections of just how much burning fossil fuels would warm the planet." Pass #BuildPublicRenewables and invest in the Climate and Community Protection Fund.
