AOTI calls for an end to the current panel system of recruitment of OTs in the HSE. We support the development of a new fit for purpose system.

“At the end of December, there were 2,327 kids waiting for an appointment with the HSE's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (Camhs) - 100 more than last July” But FG claimed they reduced CAMHS waiting list by 20%?

Interesting by
@NFL long over due. Player mental health is NB but so too is culture of teams & clubs. Irish rugby probably stole a march on this despite much fewer resources. A very sad reality unfortunately. The system has been broken for A Long Time. And one of the many reasons Why We Want Change, Why We Need Change.

For starters - compliance with CAMHS protocols so all children in suicide ideation seen within 48hours? Increase MH staffing to decrease appalling waiting lists and postcode lottery. Increase paltry 6% to 10% to implement Vision for Change'.

This is breakdown of governments manifesto on mental health by
@psychpolis . The regurgitation of vision for change policy which hasn’t been implemented. In terms of task force, I went to one meeting. First thing told that no budget allocated to findings. https://wanderingmindofapsychologist.com/2020/02/01/ge2020-mental-health-manifestos-the-verdicts/ …pic.twitter.com/rexWdb9rMt

It’s important you guys know how our politicians view mental health. Sincerely, you will never know who in your family may need the system. Only then will you realise the chronically poor level of them. Deserted and ignored for too long.

News from the mental health commission: The Assisted Decision-Making Act 2015 will not be implemented in 2020 citing lack of funding from Department of Justice. In the meantime Ward-ship & violations of human rights where peoples capacity is compromised will continue to be used.
