    There are people who are in precarious employment on low incomes who may refuse the test because they cannot afford to take time off work until the results come through. They’re not conspiracy theorists- they’re stuck through no fault of their own.

    I very much agree with Melissa. You can’t just say people are refusing covid tests due to “conspiracy theories” and walk away—it will only cause more distrust and acrimony. There are years of work done on how to deal with anti-vaccination sentiment that could be drawn on here.

    I very much agree with Melissa. You can’t just say people are refusing covid tests due to “conspiracy theories” and walk away—it will only cause more distrust and acrimony. There are years of work done on how to deal with anti-vaccination sentiment that could be drawn on here.

    I asked the dept of health and gov comprehensive questions about which conspiracy theories and which communities were believing them. They could give me no detail or data. Seems a dangerous statement for gov to make without providing data or context to back it up.

    All I can say is that for me, this is one of the crowning achievements of my academic career. This journal has been central to my professional identity formation -- I've published here, reviewed here, and long aspired to contribute to its editorial life.

    The exact term used by the ECT machine manufacturer is “permanent brain damage”. Yet our NHS trusts omit that in their info leaflets. Hopefully the College of Psychiatrists will be evidence-based in their updating of their ECT Position Statement

    Thymatron ECT manufacturers admit and state in ECT information leaflet that their machine causes brain damage. Yet deny ECT causes brain damage and it is not discussed in ECT leaflets. Illegal and immoral. GMC state that is unprofessional as consent is legal requirement
