    love too be at a professional academic conference with 800 attendees, dedicated A/V staff and audience microphones placed everywhere, but still have an attendee choose to stand in place and yell a question at the top of their lungs 🙃

    Long suspected, but my first time seeing it so well quantified -- recommender algorithms homogenizes human behavior significantly. Presented by Allison Chaney from Princeton. My favorite paper at so far. Love Recsys Care session!

    Is there a name for the feeling of jet lag felt not physically, but digitally? Being many hours delayed from people you talk to and messages you usually get at certain times of day feels surprisingly disorienting.

    I don't think I've ever been at a conference before where so many talk questions start with "I have two questions." (The attendee usually then proceeds to ask three questions.)
