Wonder how that affects Jamf for individuals if at all.

1/2 I don’t think they’re a good idea. I always see friends with funny restrictions and internet downtimes and it is really bothering me. You should have a trustful relationship to your child were you trust them that they know good enough and use the great gift of the internet
-
2/2 wisely and not waste their time with useless and stupid stuff. Children should rather get raised with this mindset then controlled with restrictions or something.

We’re a school with 1to1 iPads, we’ve had parents wanting to be able to control their child’s iPad usage, currently the school MDM completely disables Screentime, when is Screentime going to be separated from other ‘device restrictions’ policies to allow more granular control?
-
ScreenTime is already it’s own restriction policy.

I am in awe that
@Apple coms can make such a reasonable, Tim-like response to an otherwise reasonable@nytimesbusiness article. Great craft, great shield - “privacy” and I do think it’s genuine. Maybe@apple could be more clear in communicating to developers basically everything? -
I’m a little confused. Did you read the article? Apple updated it policies then even warned developers who were breaking said policy and gave them 30 days. Should Apple send a rep and discuss all its policies when you become a developer or should developers know what they are?

@pschiller Maybe this article could’ve been avoided by better communication to developers? -
They notified them about these security issues(from article). Those who resolved these problems weren’t removed from AppStore
