Maybe I am misunderstanding your question @Tim61525984 but, if you're you talking about split view: That's even possible on the 9.7" iPad and iPad Mini.

He’s talking about regular vs. compact size class on 50/50 landscape split view on 11-inch iPad. My understanding is that 12.9-inch is regular size class, 11-inch is compact size class like 10.5-inch.
