Clear is a U.S. based company that is prominent in many US airports. Travelers register their passport and biometrics with the company - which speeds up the security check process. They’ve extended into age verification and other verticals as well.

Call me paranoid, but that makes a very attractive target for hackers. Your identity and identity documents are probably the most valuable elements of your footprint that -if compromised -will be problematic. In the name of a Coke? I’ll stick to analog 😉 the risk is asymmetrical

I don't think people will use Clear just for a soft drink. However, Clear does already have 12 million customers since it is a huge time saver in the airport. So this is just an extension of it, I suppose.
