ok so you swing as close to my way as possible on most of these. good medium body red, brown or gin liquor, stout beer. i usually do a heavier red and i stay away from bourbon but you've got a fine base
companies like The Macallan use no peat, which makes Scotches have that smokey smell and taste. Try Laphroig or Bruichladdich as Scotches that come from the Isle of Islay to understand that campfire aesthetic that those Scotches have.

but like i said, get a map. get a highlands scotch. get an Islay scotch. try at least 1 from all the major areas of the country. it's a quick learn on what comes from where.
