  5. A look at our baboons enjoying some browse enrichment at the zoo. Our keepers cut the browse from around the zoo grounds and give it to our animals to encourage their natural feeding behavior. The baboons will usually eat the leaves and play with the branches.

  6. Lately we’ve been sharing lots of photos and videos of our porcupines including mom Needles and baby Barb. Did you know a mother porcupine and her young make a family group called a prickle?

  7. Enjoy this with Oatmeal the sheep taking a walk in her harness with our newest Keeper Tiffani. Going for a walk is a great form of enrichment for the sheep.

  8. This is porcupette Barb hanging out on a branch. By the time young porcupines are six weeks old, they can climb and run proficiently. Don’t forget to visit our North American porcupines on the Discovery Trail this summer!

  12. It’s been a pretty hot summer this year but fennec foxes are used to the heat. In the wild they live in the Sahara desert which is one of the hottest, driest places on Earth!
