When you have farmers growing resource intensive crops like alfalfa to keep their water rights and cities like St George, Utah that consume far more water than it should it’s time to start asking questions.

The ultra depressing thing about this article is that its all about human issues. Not a word about what our devastation of aquifers, rivers & lakes does for the ecology. We’re going to end up with a very very depleted biosphere at this rate.
