@propensive I think Magnolia can be the saviour of my compile times if it can fully replace Shapeless in caseapp. I hope someday this comes true, because I really don't get how a CLI app can take 1 minute to compile.

I'll probably need your help, especially if Magnolia cannot yet obtain annotations and default values from parameters. Once that's done I could easily port it myself.
It does both of those things already, but I haven't checked the annotations personally. @thecoda added that functionality, and he included some tests, so there are examples.

Yup, it's grabbing annotations from just about anywhere that it might be useful to do so - not yet in the official docs though (because I couldn't find them to send a PR)
