To be clear,
@propensive is was joking when saying “please don’t”, I know you are invaluable member of the community. I feel though that there are several people working on build tools that will generate unnecessary churn in so many downstream projects and tools.
Mine is radically different, trust me! And I take the "unnecessary churn" concern seriously, and have put a lot of thought into how I will it. :)

I like the ideas in this presentation. It highlights areas worth exploring for build tools. In contrast, a new build tool with cosmetic improvements over SBT so that passing arguments to it is slightly more comfortable, isn’t very interesting. https://youtu.be/JjYAnBhF2JU
