      I used to follow ~500 people, I cut back to ~100 a couple years ago. painful but necessary (for me & my sanity)

      Yeah I did the same thing. I'm back up to about 200 but I only follow people I can keep up with.

      I've never had a cull, but I don't read the feed regularly any more, and instead rely on Twitter's algorithms to pick the tweets it thinks I would be most interested in. Yeah, I know...
