After thinking about this for 10 years I have now concluded that "head +tail" nomenclature is strictly less desirable to "first + rest". Not only because the former doesn't make sense, but mainly because it doesn't make sense.

Oh my goodness, I just realised I haven't already done this with every Scala keyword, and mapped them into my keyboard layout... How did I ever not do this?!
