I am impressed by how civil the discussion has been despite the huge number of participants: it's a very good sign! Awesome Scala tools ahead! 
We just had a huge conference call about improving Scala's tooling. There are lots of challenges, but lots of enthusiasm and now hope that we can make things vastly better! Thank you so much to everyone who took part. I'll do a write up so everyone else can see what's happening!
