I had another look at my dependently-typed actors in Impromptu before my @scalaexchange talk tomorrow. By reimplementing Scala's TypeTag with a simpler equivalent (but still correct and sufficient for Impromptu's needs), I was able to improve performance by a factor of six!

I didn't have a particular use case in mind when I wrote it, but if mutable state is a given precondition, then I want to do my best to hide it!
