Hi @FlatEarthOrg, have you considered the possibility of a concave earth, where we live on the interior surface of a spinning sphere, the antipodes far above our heads? This could also explain gravity as a centrifugal force, and our ability to circumnavigate via the South Pole.
There would be no net gravity inside such a shell, though. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shell_theorem … - but you're right there would be an apparent sideways effect (not sure it's Coriolis, though...) anywhere north or south of the "equator". That's a valid flaw in my idea.
