      Is it more about whether the "phrasal" bit has connotations beyond merely being the intersection of strong things and things which are beer?

      Think of it as a measure of importance. It is more important that the beer is Bavarian than that it is strong.

      The Bavarian bee is a type constructor. You can pass strong or big or small to it. ;)

      Assuming s/bee/beer/ I don't think it works with "small". Its generic type parameter has a lower bound of `Large`.
