      In school you learn rules for adverb order, they don't seem IME to actually be true as taught though.

      I've seen examples where you can float an adverb (e.g. "only") anywhere amongst the other words, and the meaning becomes quite different.

          Yes, but that wasn't in my books, I've just picked it up (if different from Italian). Seen this mentioned *only* by David Foster Wallace.
