I learned this when teaching English in Prague. It's done automatically, but we'd never really say "the black big ugly cat" would we?

The order is wrong: big > black > ugly > rabid > malicious ... etc cat :)

No, I learned it the way you did. You don't need to be English for English to be all around you.

My grandma would still ask me questions on English, though. Like, "What's the difference between c and z?", after living here for 50 years.

1. You just pick it up 2. It's not as easy as that list. There are many naturally occuring counter examples.

Yeah, the list feels like it's simplistic and a bit too formal for something which presumably just evolved naturally.
