Same thing for me, the only thing that was nice is that they offered to set up a reminder (to cancel) if I wanted to try it, so I did 
I had to say "cancel" three times in three different ways to quit Amazon Prime, despite it taking just a single accidental click to sign up.

It was trivial, but I still don't know how I accidentally signed up, so I assume that was disproportionately more trivial.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. U can use service for free if u hold future of charge. Cancel has to be called at least 3 times to succee.
