Some possible fixes: 1. Drop the X entirely 2. Position the X on the left 3. Add a time gap between the two notifications 4. Drop the CANCEL

Come on! Buttons should start out greyed and turn clickable when the user has had time to see them.

That's a nice solution! I wonder if it could be implemented in a general way at the browser level...?
