There are two middle-aged people on the same train as me arguing about whether the sun sets in the east or the west. Ten minutes in, so far.
One is convinced she flew from SF to NYC and had sunset all the way. The other's sure the sun sets in the west but is offering no evidence.

my bet: they are confused about the fact that especially in winter the sun is southerly, not just east/west
