Cool use of SAM types literals. I predict it'll be labelled too magical and banned as a bad practice.
Yeah, I really want to get more people using SAMs. They remove a huge amount of boilerplate from typeclasses instances.
I'm behind you on that. But I think we'll be in the minority. Also SAM types introduce another way to break source compatibility
SAM Is available in 2.11 behind a flag, so I'm hopeful of being able to drop 2.10 support and adopt it soon.
You're right. But my point was accidental source compatibility breakage, like give Futurize a util method in v1.1. Boom.

yeah, we might need a @tailrec-like method to enforce SAMs stay SAMs..
Same goes for enforcing traits are ephemeral (ie. interface only) - no super calls, no fields, etc
There will be more examples too. Obviously none of this makes it impossible to break downstream code, but it adds useful friction!
