I'm behind you on that. But I think we'll be in the minority. Also SAM types introduce another way to break source compatibility
But I do frequently hear that Scala should get first-class typeclasses, and SAM Is a step towards that.
I guess I'm down with the SAMs but otherwise if I had nightmares about mentoring new Scala devs they'd look like this.
