I wrote a nasty little CLI app which beeps, asks what I'm doing & logs it every 10 mins. It autocompletes git repos/issues. It's called nag.

Have you considered using https://github.com/dreeves/TagTime instead? It samples you stochastically instead of every 10 minutes.
Wasn't aware of it, but I like the idea! Having just reinvented my own custom wheel, I won't switch now, but I might steal some ideas.
