IMO a greatly undervalued skill in software is writing crappy code: copy/borrow/stealing code you dont understand until things start working

For me, it depends on the language. I have a much more YOLO attitude when writing Python.

I think, in Python, you can copy, paste and it might just run, and *therefore* YOLO, but in Scala you can't even compile.
