IMO a greatly undervalued skill in software is writing crappy code: copy/borrow/stealing code you dont understand until things start working

Python is considerably more static than SBT is, and it shows. e.g. IDEs give much better Python completion/errors than for SBT

SBT is more like having your python program build up a structure using the `ast` module, then calling `eval` on it at the end
