Does this somehow allow me to release cross-built versions to Sonatype? It doesn't sound like the obvious solution...

The easiest way I found was using sbt-sonatype and then just running `+ publishSigned` and `sonaTypeReleaseAll`.

The sbt-release can do that for you. It's quite easy.
