Thanks for the reply @AskPayPal, but it's simpler than that: The form considers phone numbers like +441234567890 invalid. And it shouldn't.

@propensive Are you entering the country code? That portion can be left off of the payment details; it will append automatically ^AM

@AskPayPal Yes, I'm entering the country code. I know it can be left off - I discovered that by leaving it off!

@AskPayPal I'm providing my number in the most unambiguous form, and it's being rejected because you insist on me providing it ambiguously!

@propensive Since the form appends your country code automatically, entering it in as a duplicate can result in an invalid phone number ^AM

@AskPayPal Is it meant to append on the client side or the server side?

@propensive It appends automatically on our side provided you're entering a phone number for the country you're in ^AM
