      Every time someone pronounces the word "homogeneous" as "hoe-moe-jeen-ee-us," I have to mentally translate it to "huh-maw-jenn-us."

      @propensive Literally: I was taught that "homogeneous" was pronounced the same as "homogenous."

      @propensive Practically speaking, they mean exactly the same thing in popular usage; only certain kinds of technical writers differentiate.
