@propensive What's the best resource in your opinion on the cake pattern?

@dwijnand That's a difficult one... I learned it by "discovery" (I wasn't the first, though) rather than learning a formula.
.@dwijnand Instead of "learning the cake pattern", play with inner classes and self-types until you're intimately familiar, and forget cake.
