@propensive interesting. I assume you've tried to avoid reqmt to use mode.unwrap inside methods?

@oxbow_lakes Trouble is, you have an abstract HKT which you need to get away from. The unwrap method is the only way to get the right type.

@propensive interesting, but I think that the cost is too high. If approach is widely adopted, my code would be hidden by unwrap everywhere

@oxbow_lakes You lose the ability to accrue errors (rather than fail fast) if you don't use unwrap, which may be fine.

@propensive surprised no mention of scalaz Validation and \/ - surely an order of magnitude more widely used than scalactic?

@oxbow_lakes Yes, that's true. I did mention Validation several times while I was talking, though ;)
