@extempore2 So, does your terminal only work in rows/columns by virtue of the font being monospaced?

@sellout @extempore2 I use XTerm and Vim, and a font which is consistently monospaced by omitting many chars. I don't recommend this setup.

@propensive Does GUI Vim do any better? Why run it in a term? I definitely prefer occasionally bad alignment over missing chars. -
@sellout No idea, sorry... GVim is too advanced for me! It's the font that's at fault, though.
