      It is 2014, APIs to parse data should support efficient streaming as a first class concern. If not, the reason should be documented.

      @mjpt777 Well said. Rapture JSON's generic parsing API can parse from types other than strings, given a suitable backend, e.g. Jawn /cc @d6

          @propensive @d6 We really need support for more than Strings. In Java this has to addionally to be byte[] and ByteBuffer as a minimum.
