      Few observations: The new syntax will take some time to get used to. Same for the braceless indentations. If you define an extension inside the trait, you have to implement it as extension as well. Compiler helps alert about a missing `derived` on the companion. #Scala3

      No, you can still add typeclass instances to the companions of any "relevant" type. and they'll be visible. (If I understand you correctly...!)

          Sorry, I didn't express myself very well. If typeclass derivation is part of your core module you can put it in the companion object. But if it's not can you add it as an extension method?
