How do you end up on a *many years olds* tweet without realising it though? I mean in my case it was retweeted in my timeline, but... do you run random searches like “pithy tpolecat quote” and see what pops up?
Someone else must have done something to promote it. It just appeared in my [out-of-]timeline.

Guilty as charged :) Susan's tweet triggered a memory of an old tweet that went something like "the lengths people go to avoid passing arguments to functions", searched for some of those words and struck gold. It's a good tweet.
