TransferWise (whom I've very happily been using for bank accounting and international money transfers for the last few years) are rebranding to "Wise". That's great, except that it sounds identical to "Visa" if you pronounce it in the languages of half the countries it's used in.
I meant that if you're a German or Polish speaker, and you read "Wise" like a native word, it sounds very close to "Visa", not the other way round!

Aaah, I see. Not sure how I'd pronounce Visa in German, but I can see how it's probably close to "wise" in a mental German accent!

You need to pronounce "Visa" the English way (which I think is how it's more or less universally pronounced anyway...) rather than the more Germanic way (which would be written "Feeza" in English). I'm sure everyone will pronounce "Wise" the intended way, anyway. ;)
