I'm a little bit worried about the soon-to-be-released #scala 3 tbh. I've fiddled with it just a couple of hours recently and found a few bugs. I'm _very_ impressed by what has been achieved but given the 600+ open issues maybe the final released can wait a little ?

I feel like the "release" is just a matter of what we decide to call "3.0.0". The bugfixing will carry on more or less steadily through that date, but there has to be a time when we signal that it's worthy of that tag.
Most people won't, for good reason, adopt x.0.0 of anything, and that won't be different whether the Scala compiler has 600 or 0 open issues. But it's getting to the stage where it needs more users, and an x.0.0 will encourage many to adopt it.

But we're still a few weeks away from the final 3.0.0 release and there are quite a lot of people working on all those issues, so we can expect that number to come down.

Sure. I understand that it just has to be released at some point and it will never be perfect. I guess I'm just anxious bc. we're getting close an bc. it took me very little time to hit bugs
